2026 NOTICE OF OFFICES TO BE VOTED FOR AT THE STATE GENERAL ELECTION
Otter Tail County, Minnesota
The following is the notice of federal and state offices that will be voted for at the state general election to be held on Tuesday, November 3, 2026. The filing period for United States Senator, United States Representative, State Senator, State Representative, Governor and Lieutenant Governor, Secretary of State, State Auditor, Attorney General, Associate Justice of the Supreme Court, Judge of the Minnesota Court of Appeals, Judge of the District Court and County Officials begins at 8:00 a.m., Tuesday, May 19, 2026, and ends at 5:00 p.m., Tuesday, June 2, 2026.
Note: Filing offices will be closed Monday, May 25, 2026, in observance of Memorial Day.
The place of filing for federal offices is the Office of the Secretary of State, Veterans Services Building, 20 West 12ᵗʰ Street, St. Paul, MN 55155. The place of filing for state offices is with the Office of the Secretary of State or with the county auditor of the county in which the candidate resides. Otter Tail County candidates may file at the Government Services Building, Treasurer/Elections office, 510 W Fir Ave, Fergus Falls, MN 56537.
Candidates may file in person or by mail if the filing is received during the filing period. Candidates who will be absent from the state during the filing period and meet the requirements of Minnesota Statutes section 204B.09, subdivision 1a, may arrange to file during the seven days immediately preceding the candidate’s absence from the state.
This notice is provided pursuant to Minnesota Statutes section 204B.33 and is based on current law.

Hours are: 8am-4:30pm Monday through Friday
Exceptions;

Additional Hours:
Saturday August 8th 9am-3pm
Monday August 10th 8am-5pm
Tuesday August 11th we will be open for:
Ballot Drop off until 5pm
Agent Delivery Ballots (special paperwork required for this process) until 8pm
Voters from Clitherall, Dalton, Oscar Township, Rothsay, Urbank, and Western Township may drop off or vote in person until 8pm.
There are no other absentee voting locations in Otter Tail County.

NOTICE OF PUBLIC ACCURACY TEST
Pursuant to Minnesota Statute 206.83, a test of the ES&S DS200 Ballot Tabulators and ExpressVote Assisted Voting Devices , that will be available for use on Tuesday August 11, 2026 at the State Primary Election, will be conducted at 9:00 a.m. on Friday, July 17, 2026 in the Commissioners’/Otter Tail Lake Room of the Otter Tail County Government Services Center located at 500 W Fir Ave, Fergus Falls, MN.
The ES&S DS200 Ballot Tabulators and ExpressVote Assisted Voting Devices will be used in all Otter Tail County Polling locations and at the Government Services Center for Absentee Voting.
The purpose of the test is to ascertain that the ES&S DS200 Tabulators and ExpressVote Assisted Voting Device will correctly mark the votes cast for all candidates. This test must be observed by at least two election judges and is open to the public, representatives of the political parties, candidates, and the press. All interested persons are urged to attend.
